Lady Aisha Academy is an Independent Muslim Girls Secondary School located near the Barking/Ilford boundary in Essex. The school was set up in September 2011 with the aim of providing an excellent education for girls from the age of 11 to 16, placing particular emphasis on the building of good character, acquiring skills and instilling value for learning.
Staff teaching KS3 and GCSE subjects will either hold or be expected to obtain a QTS/PGCE qualification. Our aim is to have staff committed to the well-being and educational aspirations of all our pupils. Candidates who do not have a QTS/PGCE qualification but hold a degree and have previous teaching experience will also be considered. Salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
The explicit Safer Recruitment and Selection Policy statement in our school is as follows: The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Criminal Records Bureau.
CVs will not be accepted for any posts based in the school. Instead, applicants will complete an application form requesting tight chronology of employment history and the names of at least two referees, one being the candidate’s last employer (or tutor in the case of students).
Experience of working in a school environment is considered a desirable attribute.Vacancies
