Code of Conduct

At Lady Aisha Academy we hope to encourage the highest standard of behaviour in reflection of the Prophet’s (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) saying that “I was only sent to perfect good character.” We hope to instil in our students through the love of Allah (SWT) and the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) a desire to perfect their manners. It is our objective to provide a safe and Islamic environment for our children to learn and develop. Our behaviour management strategy seeks to encourage good behaviour through praise. However on some occasions a disciplinary code is necessary which will be progressive and designed for the welfare of the student in mind.
  • Students will be expected to show respect to all their teachers and obey them within the academy and outside of the academy.
  • School uniforms must be neat and tidy. Those found not wearing academy uniform may be sent home.
  • All mobile phones must be handed into the office, possession of a phone in school will result in immediate suspension.
  • The Head Teacher may require students to be withdrawn if their conduct is deemed to be detrimental to the health and welfare of other people in the academy.
  • Students must not damage the academy property or that of their fellow peers.
  • Pupils must keep all text books in good condition.
  • They are not allowed to remove any equipment from the academy without permission.
  • If it is necessary, parents of an offending pupil may be called in for a meeting with the Head Teacher to discuss their child’s behaviour.
  • We request that parents support what is happening in the academy by restricting unsuitable media influences from their children.
  • Parents are also asked to show respect to the teachers especially in front of the pupils as this will cause dissent within the classroom.
  • During academy hours parents will not be allowed to enter the academy premises unless they have had prior permission from the Head Teacher.
  • If there is a serious incident then formal disciplinary procedures will be taken possibly suspension or exclusion from the academy.
  • Pupils will receive fair and consistent treatment and they will be given adequate warning before action is taken.
  • Lady Aisha Academy has an equal opportunities policy, which means that no pupil will be discriminated against because of race, colour, sexuality, age or disability.
